The Examiner and TV Guide has the scoop on episode 310 “The New Deal” of The Vampire Diaries.
Could you shed some light on Stefan’s plan? Also, what can you tell about Bonnie and Stefan working together? (@mus1c_) – Stefan is playing his plan close to his chest so far, hiding out with the coffins to keep them safe and hidden from Klaus. Bonnie, on the other hand, has been having dreams she doesn’t understand are actually foreshadowing visions of the coffins. She finds the actual, physical place where the coffins are hidden, only to find Stefan waiting there, as well. What deal they may strike up together remains to be seen, but Bonnie’s powers as a witch make her a rockstar in this town and on his show, and let’s just say, she’s not the only witch who hates Klaus and wants to help Stefan.
Any glimmer of hope for Stelena fans? – Well, on the surface, no. Elena (Nina Dobrev) flat out says that Stefan betrayed her, which doesn’t really allow for much wiggle room in her heart. But if you want to read between the lines, she is still willing to stand in front of him and appeal to the side of him that may care about her, or at least care about humanity in general. His answer doesn’t help matters, but he is a man on a mission right now, saying and doing anything he has to to complete his plan against Klaus. He may want to push Elena away to keep her safe, but when she learns that he saved Klaus really to save his brother, she’s bound to wonder if that means he still cares for her as much as he cares for his brother, right?

TV Guide chats with Julie Plec
But life in Mystic Falls is never without complication and Elena will have quite a few things on her plate. First, there’s the fact that she killed Rebekah, and when the Original sister gets undaggered she’ll be pissed off, to say the least. Elena will also start to see how she’s just as capable of destruction as her vampire peers. “Elena realizes that in order to survive and in order to protect the people she loves the most, sometimes she has to behave more like Katherine than Elena, and sometimes a dark choice needs to be made, a violent act needs to be enacted and it’s troubling for her,” Plec says. “So who is she really at her core? She’s clearly not the girl-next-door do-gooder, she never has been.”

Finally the synopsis is here for the episode 310 “The New Deal” of the television series “The Vampire Diaries”:
A REASON TO FEEL GUILTY — Stefan (Paul Wesley) has hidden the coffins containing the bodies of Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) family, and Klaus quickly turns to violence to convince Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) that no one will be safe until he finds Stefan and gets his family back. Tyler (Michael Trevino) continues to make the most of his new abilities as a hybrid, but he has to face the disturbing consequences of his actions as well. After a terrifying incident, Elena and Alaric (Matt Davis) grow increasingly concerned about Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) attitude and, ultimately, his safety. Alaric meets the beautiful Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto, “Pretty Little Liars”), who is intrigued with his amazing ability to heal. While trying to strike a deal with Klaus, Elena delivers news that truly shocks him. Kat Graham also stars and internet personality Justine Ezarik guest stars as a bartender.
The episode was directed by John Behring and written by Michael Narducci. It also marks the first appearance of Torrey DeVitto as Dr. Fell.
In a shocking mid-season finale, a vengeful Stefan (Paul Wesley) stole the caskets containing the family of former road buddy Klaus (Joseph Morgan). When the show returns next month, Klaus will try to strike a deal but Stefan won’t budge. As a result, says executive producer Julie Plec, “Mystic Falls is in the hands of Klaus. Stefan and Klaus want to destroy each other, but they’re unwilling to face the consequences if things go wrong. It’s a Mexican standoff.” That bromance may be over, but romance is in the air: “Elena finally realizes that she must move on from Stefan,” Plec says. “It means that she’s open to looking elsewhere….”
Also, newbie hybrid Tyler (Michael Trevino) is put to the test to prove his love for Caroline (Candice Accola); Alaric (Matt Davis) will get close to a doctor who’s intrigued by his powers of recovery (played by Paul Wesley’s real-life wife Torrey Devitto); and we’ll meet a possible love interest for teen witch Bonnie (Kat Graham). Hey, witches need love, too.
Will Damon and Elena finally get together? “Stefan’s behavior is opening a lot of doors for Damon and Elena,” says executive producer Julie Plec.
