E!Online Spoiler Chat with Kristin Dos Santos has the scoop on what we can expect in the coming episodes.
Bianca: Vampire Diaries scoop? Is there anything at all you can say about The Originals coming back?
The return of The Originals brings with it some great sibling rivalry. None of them are happy with Klaus for having carted them around in coffins—and he gets to see what it’s like being on the receiving end of their anger. Translation: Poor (hot) Joseph Morgan might need a hug. Any of you fans willing and able? Well, get in line!
nickstives: Is it true Damon is hooking up with someone other than Elena? Say it ain’t so!
Damon will get naked with someone other than Elena. If you Damon-Elena fans want the good news about this particular storyline, just stop reading after the first four words of the previous sentence.
Biggiepie: Anything on TVD that’s coming up that we don’t know?
With TVD never one to drag a story out too long, we hear that the mysterious locked coffin will be opened sooner than you think. As in, count the days! Yeehaw!
E!Online Kristin Dos Santos has the scoop about your favorite characters on The Vampire Diaries for Caroline, Elijah, Klaus, and more.
Annalisa: Loving Klaus and Caroline’s chemistry. Awesome twist! What’s going to happen with them? Anything?
I hear it’s also one of The Vampire Diaries‘ writers’ favorite scenes of the season, but don’t expect a sudden relationship to be born. Caroline (Candice Accola) is still holding strong to her faith that Tyler (Michael Trevino, who will be MIA from Mystic Falls for the next five episodes) will come out the other side of his sire bond issues. However, don’t expect Klaus (Joseph Morgan) to back off, either. Word is we see more of his interest in Caroline in the Feb. 9 episode “Dangerous Liaisons”—which might explain the stills of the two of them dancing together.
Heathmonterrey: Stefan and Elena—is there any hope for them?
The triangle definitely heats up in the next few episodes as Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) try to rebuild their relationship in spite of both brothers being in love with the same girl.
FrankLewis97: Any chance Stefan will end up being badder than Klaus, and Klaus a big old softy? I like bad Stefan.
The producers told me they swear that Klaus won’t go soft, but that doesn’t mean we won’t start to see a more human side of him—except where his war with Stefan is concerned. Why is it that Stefan always manages to bring out the worst in Klaus?
Nicole_Gutierrez: When will we see Jeremy again?
Word has it that Steven R. McQueen is still in Atlanta, so hope is not lost for Jeremy fans!

TV Guide again has the scoop for The Vampire Diaries badass hybrid and why he has trust issues.
It looks like Klaus might be developing romantic feelings for Caroline on The Vampire Diaries. Are those emotions even possible for him? — Lanie
NATALIE: Hey, hybrids have feelings too! Klaus previously mentioned a former lover, and we’ll get more info on that soon. “We’re going to learn more about his past and what would’ve made him so closed-off,” Joseph Morgan says. “The one thing he has to learn how to do is trust; he doesn’t have it in him at the moment. Because of the betrayal of his family, his father, and everybody who’s abandoned him he started to build friendships and relationships based on fear and anger instead. If he can learn to trust, then he has a chance at loving again.”
E!Online Spoiler Chat has the scoop on The Vampire Diaries characters.
Moosewithagoose: Could you ask around about possible Stefan/Caroline scenes on TVD? Would be much appreciated, thank you!
Been there, done that! We chatted with Candice Accola who tells us she’s a “big fan” of scenes between the two, but says “as of right now there hasn’t been a lot of interaction” between Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline. Boo! Hiss! As for a romance between the two, Accola says it seems unlikely. “I think that would be extremely complicated,” she tells us. “I can’t really picture that in reality as being something that would happen anytime soon, if ever.”
occamsrazor0: something about the Original family, por favor!
As most Vampire Diaries fans know, we’ll be introduced to two new brothers soon and here’s what Joseph Morgan could tell us when we caught up with him. “I have a very different relationship with Kol than I do with Finn. When you get the whole family together, it’s really charged.” The whole family? Things that make you go hmmm… When we poised the idea of an Originals spinoff to our favorite hybrid, he tells us he’s pulling for it “unashamedly.”
Jessica: When is Stefan going to find out about that kiss between Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder)?
Very soon. As in, this week soon!
Margie: Dying for Klaus and Caroline scoop!
Nothing between them in the next episode. Sad trombone! Klaus will have his hands full trying to get the coffins back. But there is a great storyline involving Tyler. Also, Bonnie’s Mom and Caroline’s dad both show up in the next episode. One to help their child, one not.
TV Guide spoke to Julie Plec, Candice Accola, and Joseph Morgan about what to expect with their characters.
Klaus vs. Stefan
Executive producer Julie Plec tells us that Klaus will continue to “adjust his methods” after seeing Stefan adopt outrageous (and heart-stopping) tactics. “The fun was watching Klaus get thrown for a loop by the lengths Stefan was willing to go to and then how he wisely and cleverly adapts to the situation. In spite of having lost the battle with Stefan in that episode, he’s certainly not giving up on the war. He’s just adopting a different approach and we’ll get to see Klaus as a cunning manipulator more than the in-your-face-violence, take-no-prisoners villain.”
Klaus and … Caroline?
We’re just as surprised and baffled as you are, but both Candice Accola and Joseph Morgan say not so fast to a new relationship. “He’s interested … but I think it’s more of an infatuation at the moment,” Morgan says. “Here’s an attractive, sassy young vampire and he’s been around for 1,000 years so it’s rare he gets to see something new and something that excites him. Maybe at the moment he sees his role as a more of a mentor, but there’s definitely potential there to grow into something else. There’s something there — there’s a spark.” Accola adds, “There’s something to be said about a female character taking some time and having some boundaries,” she says. “Caroline’s big journey [right now] is trying to find a sense of normalcy and now that Caroline really has a grasp of her vampirism and need for blood, that’s really the [path] she’s on, to be normal.”
When will Rebekah re-emerge?
Klaus is in possession of his sister’s body, but will she be undaggered any time soon? Plec tells us: “Rebekah won’t be down for the count for long, but Klaus is terrified of undaggering her and so he’s going to have to get past that before we see her come back to life. He did some terrible things in his past that he learned she knows so it’s going to take him some work before he feels comfortable pulling that dagger out of her. Certainly, when that does happen, she’s certainly not going to be any fan of Elena Gilbert, so the struggle of wills they had earlier in the season will be back with a vengeance and Rebekah is going to want to try to take Elena down a little for stabbing her in the back.”
