In an interview with TV Guide, The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder talks about tonight’s episode and what Damon has in store for The Originals.
On Thursday’s episode, Damon and Stefan will gather their forces and go after Klaus and Co. But unlike previous plans, the brothers finally have the deadliest weapon in their possession: a piece of white oak tree.
“Damon wants to wipe them off the face off the earth!” Ian Somerhalder told TVGuide.com. “We should take their house, because they have a serious house, and they have a hot sister, we should take her too. But other than that we should just kill them.”

TYLER RETURNS TO MYSTIC FALLS — Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) set off together to make sure Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) is safe in Denver, and to see if his special abilities can help reveal the information they need about ancient vampire bloodlines. It doesn’t take them long to learn that Jeremy has been hanging with the wrong people. Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) both go to brutal extremes in their search for the missing weapon. Caroline (Candice Accola) is thrilled when Tyler (Michael Trevino) returns to town, but Tyler soon suspects that something has been going on between Caroline and Klaus. Matt (Zach Roerig) has his hands full trying to keep Rebecca (Claire Holt) busy organizing the school’s upcoming 1920s Decade Dance. Chris Grismer directed the episode written by Brian Young and Evan Bleiweiss (#319).
E!Online Spoiler Chat with Kristin Dos Santos has the scoop on whether Bonnie and Jeremy will ever get back together.
Rebecca: Please tell me there is hope for Bonnie and Jeremy on The Vampire Diaries! Is Steven R. McQueen coming back?
You will see him again, but sadly, we’re not too hopeful about a Bonnie and Jeremy rekindling. Kat Graham herself tells us this when asked if she’s rooting for Bonnie and Jeremy: “I’m all about the character constantly evolving. [Executive producer] Julie Plec talks about the character having layers and anything that progresses [Bonnie] forward and you’re able to see more dimensions, I think that’s good. If it brings out a different side of Bonnie, then yes. If not, then let’s just move on.”
TV Line have the scoop about the return of Aunt Jenna, but only in a flashbacks in the season finale episode.
Aunt Jenna will celebrate her one-year deathiversary with a surprise return to The Vampire Diaries, when, in the Season 3 finale (airing May 10), Sara Canning reprises the fan fave role.
But how will they bring Mystic Falls’ dearly departed denizen back to life?
As first reported by our friends at Zap2it, Jenna won’t be revived via the CW saga’s signature witchery or otherworldly means, but rather through a series of flashbacks that examine Elena’s life before her parents’ untimely death.
Question: Got any more scoop about The Vampire Diaries‘ decade dance on April 26? —Amy
Ausiello: Two characters will share an intimate moment on the dance floor, and I predict Delena fans will not be swooning.
E!Online Spoiler Chat with Kristin Dos Santos have the scoop on the season finale and whether Matt Davis’s character Alaric will return now that Matt has a new show.
GG129: Ian Somerhalder tweeted that the finale of The Vampire Diaries is called “The Departed.” Any hints as to why?
“The Departed” makes reference to those Elena has lost in her life. Remember how we told you they’re going to flash back to the night Elena’s parents died in the car crash? We feel a weeptastic episode coming on. (Shudder.)
Bridgette: Is Matt Davis (Alaric) on through the end of the season of The Vampire Diaries or not because of filming The Cult?
According to a source on the show, Matt Davis is currently juggling pilot duties (yes, he was cast
in The Cult
) and TVD
duties. Fancy! And so we shouldn’t assume Alaric is a goner…at least not yet.
And speaking of TVD, Kat Graham‘s first music video premieres on E! News today! We’ll also be showing it online at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PST.
Zap2it caught up with The Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola about her character Caroline teaching Abby how to survive and more.
Zap2it: Caroline skipped town for last week’s episode. Where do we find her this Thursday?
Candice: Caroline has gone with Bonnie to help her mother, Abby, through her transition into being a vampire, so that’s where we’re going to pick up in this coming episode. They’re out at Abby’s house. Jamie’s there. We’re going to get to know Jamie a little bit better, and we’re going to learn what it means for a witch to transition into a vampire. There’s not really a hybrid version of that; you can’t be both, so we’ll see how that emotionally effects a witch. We’ve seen that with a human transitioning, there are heightened senses and heightened personality traits. Now we’re going to learn how it effects a witch, and it’s definitely a different experience.
Zap2it: She still doesn’t know that Alaric murdered her dad, but I assume that it won’t be kept under wraps for very long.
Candice: Yes, we’ll see her reaction to that. We won’t see it right now, because she’s still gone with Bonnie and Abby, but in upcoming episodes Caroline will learn that it was Alric. They will have words. Like, “Hey, remember that time you murdered my father? This is awkward now.”

E!Online Spoiler Chat with Kristin Dos Santos has the scoop on the famous love triangle with Elena, Stefan, and Damon. Also news on Tyler and Caroline’s reunion.
ThomasJones: Any scenes coming up for Damon and Elena? Stefan and Elena? Any movement on the love-triangle front?
According to a very solid source, the Damon-Elena-Stefan love triangle will “blow wide open” when the show returns for its spring run with the “Heart of Darkness” episode. (Yee!) So, Delena and Stelena fans, prepare yoselves for battle! And don’t forget: TVD boss Julie Plec teased to us more kissing (for all the characters) in the final episodes than all the previous episodes this season combined.
Molly: What can we expect from Tyler’s return? What does it mean for Caroline and Klaus?
Tyler makes his return in “Heart of Darkness” with a big sexy scene between him and Caroline. Hope Klaus doesn’t find out! No, really. You know how Tyler is all sired to him and everything? That would not end well.
